Reuben Bijl
Gary Paton Trophy - Coach of the Year
Reuben has been a big presence at Raiders for many years. This year he volunteered and drove a whole new competition, consistently had rave reviews from parents and was instrumental in growing the Sydney North Girls Rugby competition for Raiders.
Mark Sargent
Michael Meagher Trophy - Manager of the Year
This man has been involved for a decade. He’s previously won Coach of the Year and has single handedly held an age group together for three years. He is passionate and is always looking out for his teams and players. and he has been a great age coordinator for the Under 16 Vikings.
Gareth Yates
Bob Oakes Trophy - Club Person of the Year
The winner of the Bob Oakes Club Person of the Year for 2019 is Gareth Yates. We asked for nominations and received a number for this person for other trophies. He has consistently put his hand up this season, as he has before. This win highlights that you can never keep a good man down.
This season he has coached U6 and U11 White, been the U11 Age Coordinator, been a Gala selector for Under 8s and countless other small jobs throughout the season. He epitomizes the passion and care for our players and is always looking at the best for everyone in his teams.
