What is get into rugby?
Get into rugby is an introduction skills based program for girls and boys aged 4-7 starting their rugby journey.
We focus on kid’s skill development and building confidence which provides the perfect stepping stone into Minis Rugby.
It’s all about the kids having fun!

6 week program
We are excited that Get Into Rugby program is back again for 2024!
- When: Thursday 4-5pm
- Dates: 6 weeks - 8th Feb - 14th Mar 2024
- Where: Bantry Bay Oval
- Suitable For: 4-7 year old's

Get into rugby Program
It will be a 1 hour skill/training session held at our home ground – Bantry Bay. The program is designed to create fun and safe environment for all kids to enjoy Get Into Rugby.
Each Session includes 4 activities and wrap up. This is a guide for what may be delivered during the program:
- Warm Up: A fun game-based activity involving fundamental movement to ensure participants are warmed-up and ready for the session.
- Fundamentals: Activities focused on developing the fundamentals required to paly the game of rugby.
- Core Skills: Games-based activities that allow participants to apply their core skills and decision-making across different scenarios.
- Game Play: Bringing it all together and encouraging participants to express themselves and showcase their skills in fun game.
- Wrap Up: Using questions for understanding, discussing the key takeway points form the session and how participants support ongoing development.
